Senior Account Manager

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Account Manager to further the expansion of our Knowledge Graph model-based software solution for insurance carriers in North America.

The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with prospective clients, and closing sales to achieve revenue targets. This role requires a motivated individual with strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prospect and identify potential clients through cold calling, networking, and research to generate new business leads.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients through effective communication and engagement strategies.
  • Understand clients’ needs, challenges, and objectives, and propose tailored solutions to address their requirements.
  • Conduct presentations to showcase the benefits and features of our offerings to clients.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring terms and pricing are mutually beneficial for the company and the client.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using CRM software.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance sales skills and knowledge.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to management to track progress and performance.
  • Drive client retention, renewals, upsells, and client satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in selling recurring software subscriptions within the insurance industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build relationships with clients.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities, with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry and understanding of client needs and pain points.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to achieving sales objectives.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Motivated, self-starter with a passion for sales and business development.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g. HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with solution-based selling with an emphasis on qualification, asking follow-up questions and understanding unique customer needs.
  • Proficient in managing multiple opportunities with varying sales cycles.

COMPENSATION

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications & experience and will be made with a commensurate base salary, aggressive commissions plan, and benefits package. Stock options will also be made available to the successful candidate.
